How to try it

Wind a simple toy and set it on the floor. Let your toddler watch it wobble along, then ask them to help you wind it again. Pick it up and try it on a different surface.

Materials

Safety note

An adult does the winding. Choose one labeled for under-3s with enclosed gears and no small detachable parts, keep it away from hair and fingers while it runs, and supervise.
