About
About Kigomo & our guides
Kigomo is a warm, card-based planner that helps parents and caregivers discover, plan, and share small kid-friendly routines — an iPhone app, plus this public library of cards, decks, and guides.
Editorial standards
Who writes the guides
Our guides are written by the Kigomo team — the people who build the app. We write from everyday caregiving experience and lean on reputable child-development sources. We are not doctors, and we do not present ourselves as clinicians. When a guide needs professional expertise we do not have, we say so plainly and point you to someone who does.
How we write them
We aim for guides you can actually use in a few tired minutes: practical, specific, and honest about what works and what doesn't. We favor plain language over jargon, real detail over filler, and we keep each guide grounded in things caregivers really do.
Health and safety come first
Kigomo is a planning tool, not a medical, emergency, or diagnostic service. Our Food and Health guides stay non-diagnostic: for anything about your child's health, feeding, or development, ask your pediatrician or a qualified professional. In an urgent situation, contact local emergency services.
Reviewing, dating, and corrections
Every guide is reviewed before it is published and carries a published date; when we make a meaningful update, we date that too. If you spot something wrong or unclear, tell us at team@kigomo.com and we will fix it.
What we don't do
We don't invent credentials or fake expert reviewers, we don't sell your information or run third-party ad trackers on these pages (see our Privacy Policy), and we keep the guides useful whether or not you install the app.
