How to try it

Bundle up and step into a patch of fresh snow. Stomp to make footprints, look back at the trail you made together, then scoop a little snow onto a mitten and watch it fall.

Materials

  • Warm coat
  • Boots
  • Mittens

Safety note

Dress in layers, cover ears, and check fingers and toes. Keep play short, change out of wet mittens, and head in if they are shivering or unusually quiet. Stay away from roads and icy patches, and do not let your toddler eat the snow.
