How to try it

Walk around the block and point out numbers you pass, on house doors, buses, mailboxes, and signs. Ask your child to find a number they know, or the biggest number they can see, and say it out loud together.

Materials

No special materials listed.

Safety note

Hold hands near roads and driveways, cross only at crossings, and walk on the traffic side yourself. Stop walking before you point out a number, so eyes stay on the path.
