How to try it

Pick one short song or nursery rhyme and sing it slowly while you hold or rock your baby. Sing the same one each day, and watch for the moment they start to quiet or look up when it begins.

Safety note

Do this while your baby is awake. If either of you gets sleepy, put your baby down on their back in their own crib or bassinet, on a firm, flat surface with no pillows, blankets, or toys, and do not doze off together on a couch or armchair.
