How to try it

Roll a flat slab of play dough on a tray. Walk a toy animal across it so its feet leave prints, then let your toddler stomp their own animal along and compare the tracks. Squash it flat and start again.

Materials

  • Play dough
  • Tray
  • Chunky toy animals

Safety note

Supervise throughout; play dough is not for eating. Use toy animals bigger than a toilet-paper tube with no loose parts.
